Potala Palace | Episode 6: Momentous Change

As the saying goes, "When a nation is strong, the frontier is secure. When a nation is weak, the frontier is vulnerable."

This episode of "Potala Palace" frames Xizang's modern history in the broader international context of the late 19th century to the first half of the 20th century, during which imperial powers expanded into East Asia, the Qing Dynasty declined, and British and Russian influence extended into Xizang.

Through resilience and sacrifice, the people of Xizang showed that the destiny of the snowy plateau has always been closely bound to that of the Chinese nation.
