你有想像過家裡的牆壁能夠自己發電儲電嗎？中國東南大學團隊借鑑植物根莖的構造，透過雙向冷凍工藝，在水泥內部建構出大量奈米離子通道，只要存在溫差就能 24 小時持續發電。這款仿生自發電儲能混凝土，同時兼具建築承重、發電產能、電力儲存三大作用，安全度遠勝傳統化學電池，使用壽命幾乎等同建築物。未來住宅、公路、隧道都可以運用這項技術，有望解決新能源供電不穩、儲能昂貴等難題，開啟分佈式能源的全新時代。

Have you ever imagined that the walls of your home can generate and store electricity by themselves? Researchers from Southeast University of China drew inspiration from plant rhizome structures. Using a bidirectional‑freezing process, they built numerous nano‑scale ion channels inside cement. It generates power 24/7 as long as there is a temperature difference. This bionic self‑generating and energy‑storing concrete works as structural building material, power generator and energy storage unit all‑in‑one. It is much safer than traditional chemical batteries and lasts nearly as long as buildings. In the future, houses, highways and tunnels may adopt this technology. It may solve pain points such as unstable new‑energy output and high‑cost energy storage, opening a new era of distributed energy.
