알리산 캔슬하고 순정품 구했는데 조졌네 이거.. 캠핑카 만드는데 차를 부수고 있습니다 (feat. 디스커버리4)

디스커버리4 캠핑카 만들기!
이번에는 타이어부터 갈아엎고 본격적으로 캠핑카의 자세를 잡아봅니다.

기존 타이어를 탈거했더니 이건 타이어인지 민무늬 경주용 슬릭 타이어인지 구분이 안 갈 지경. 사일룬 AT 타이어로 교체하고, 삐뚤어진 핸들도 바로잡고, 휠 스페이서까지 장착했습니다.

펜더 밖으로 튀어나오면 곤란하니 딱 맞는 25mm로 신중하게 선택! 결과는 기대 이상입니다. AT 타이어라 온로드 주행이 걱정됐는데, 기존 타이어가 워낙 엉망이었던 덕분인지 오히려 아주 만족스럽네요.

기세를 몰아 이번엔 외관 작업에 돌입합니다.

원래는 중국에서 루프랙과 사다리, 러기지백까지 주문했는데 웬걸? 보름 만에 판매자가 일방적으로 주문을 취소해 버렸습니다.

그런데 이 차, 운 하나는 기가 막힙니다. 디스커버리4 동호회에서 순정 루프랙과 사다리까지 구했습니다. 이 정도면 캠핑카 만들라고 하늘이 도와주는 것 같죠?

문제는 그다음부터였습니다.

부피가 어마어마한 순정 루프랙을 싣고 가서 장착하려고 했는데, 오래된 고정 나사가 말썽을 부리기 시작합니다.

과연 디스커버리4는 무사히 캠핑카로 변신할 수 있을까요?

캠핑 한번 가보겠다고 시작한 일이 점점 산으로 가고 있습니다. 😂

Building a Discovery 4 camper van!
This time, I’m starting by completely changing the tires and getting the camper van into proper shape.

After removing the original tires, I couldn't even tell whether these were tires or plain-rubber race slicks. I replaced the tires with Seuilun ATs, straightened the crooked handlebars, and even installed wheel spacers.

Since it shouldn't stick out beyond the fender, choose the precise 25mm size carefully! The result exceeded my expectations. Since it’s an automatic, I was worried about on-road performance, but maybe because the previous tires were such a mess, I’m actually very satisfied.

Riding the momentum, I’m now moving on to the exterior work.

I originally ordered a roof rack, ladder, and luggage bag from China, but guess what? The seller unilaterally canceled the order after just two weeks.

But this car has an incredible level of driving. The Discovery 4 club even got a stock roof rack and a ladder. At this point, it feels like the heavens are on our side to help us build a camper van, doesn’t it?

The problem started after that.

I tried to install it by carrying the massive stock roof rack, but the old mounting screws started causing problems.

Will the Discovery 4 be able to transform into a camper van safely?

What started as a plan to go camping is gradually going off the rails. 😂

ディスカバリー4キャンピングカー作り！
今回はタイヤから入れ替えて、本格的にキャンピングカーの姿勢を整えてみます。

既存のタイヤを外したら、これがタイヤなのか、無地のレース用スリックタイヤなのか区別がつかないほど。 サイルンATタイヤに交換し、歪んだハンドルを修正し、ホイールスペーサーまで装着しました。

フェンダーの外に出ると困るので、ぴったりの25mmを慎重に選んで！ 結果は期待以上です。 ATタイヤなのでオンロード走行が心配でしたが、以前のタイヤがひどくボロボロだったせいか、むしろとても満足しています。

勢いに乗って、今回は外観作業に取り掛かります。

もともとは中国でルーフラックとかぎり、ラゲッジバッグまで注文したんだけど、なんと？ 15日後に販売者が一方的に注文をキャンセルしてしまいました。

しかし、この車、運転だけは見事です。 ディスカバリー4の同好会で、純正ルーフラックとはしごまで手配しました。 これくらいならキャンピングカーを作るのに天が味方してくれているように思えますよね？

問題はその次からでした。

とてつもない大きさの純正ルーフラックを積んで取り付けに行こうとしたのですが、古い固定ネジが不調を起こし始めました。

果たしてディスカバリー4は無事にキャンピングカーへ変身できるのでしょうか？

キャンプに行ってみようと始めたことが、だんだん脱線しています。😂
