Eimantas Stanionis (LITHUANIA) vs. Gabriel Maestre (VENEZUELA) | 4K - FULL HIGHLIGHTS #boxing

🥊 FIGHT DESCRIPTION:

A two-year layoff did absolutely nothing to slow down Eimantas Stanionis, as the unbeaten Lithuanian welterweight returned to the ring with a vengeance, delivering a commanding performance against Gabriel Maestre to secure a dominant unanimous decision victory over 12 rounds. Fighting on the Canelo Alvarez-Jaime Munguia undercard in Las Vegas, Stanionis proved that his skills, timing, and relentless fighting style remained sharp despite spending an extended period away from competition.

Stanionis (15-0, 9 KOs) imposed his will with intelligent pressure, a relentless jab, and powerful, accurately placed combinations to both the head and body. Maestre (6-1-1, 5 KOs) fought back and engaged in a competitive exchange of punches, but Stanionis consistently found the target with the cleaner, more damaging shots. Although both fighters threw nearly the same number of punches, the Lithuanian contender clearly held the advantage in accuracy, shot selection, and overall effectiveness.

The fight was far from an easy walk in the park, as Maestre showed toughness and determination throughout the contest. However, Stanionis refused to surrender control, maintaining a steady offensive attack and punishing his opponent whenever openings appeared. His combination of pressure, discipline, and precision proved too much for the Venezuelan veteran to overcome.

When the final bell sounded, the judges rewarded Stanionis with a convincing unanimous decision, scoring the contest 119-109, 118-110, and 117-111. The victory improved his undefeated record and marked an impressive return after his last appearance in April 2022, when he edged Radzhab Butaev by split decision in a much tougher encounter.

After enduring three scheduled fights with Vergil Ortiz falling apart during his lengthy absence, Stanionis finally got back to business—and made a powerful statement that he remains a serious threat in the 147-pound division.
