Microsoft had the Duo AND the Neo YEARS before the iPhone people could even SPELL foldable
The Surface line of Windows products has been around for some capacity for the better part of the last two decades, or the amount of time the iPhone’s been around in total - and devices called the Surface Duo and Neo were meant to come out back in 2020
The Neo never saw the light of day - unlike the cheap macbooks Apple’s slinging these days - but the DUO was a very real handheld that was literally a foldable phone, just like the new iPhone
The screen itself didn’t bend, but it WAS a side-by-side connected set of displays that extended from one another, that, adjusted for inflation, is STILL less expensive than what Apple’s putting out
