Jason Kutch — professor in the USC Division of Biokinesiology and Physical Therapy at the Herman Ostrow School of Dentistry of USC — discusses his journey with chronic pain and his discovery that surfing could reliably relieve his pain. He describes his research using a virtual reality surfing simulator to study surfing’s effect on brain activity.
