[ Once Known as “Wonhyosan Mountain” ] [260916]
💬 At 922 meters above sea level, Wonhyobong is the highest peak of Cheonseongsan Mountain.
Today, it is part of Cheonseongsan and is known as Wonhyobong Peak, but in the past, this mountain was called “Wonhyosan.”
As its name suggests, it is also associated with the story of the great Buddhist monk Wonhyo, who is said to have taught the Avatamsaka Sutra to a thousand monks here.
