In The Night House, the filmmakers use the shape of the house, negative space and forced perspective to create creepy human-like figures hidden inside normal architecture. What makes it even better is that the effect wasn’t completely CGI, much of the illusion was created practically on set, with subtle visual effects added afterward to make the figure feel alive. It’s the kind of scene that gets way creepier once your brain finally notices what it’s looking at.
