He’s Doing What LeBron Did At 19… 😳🏀

Darius Acuff Jr. is taking the NBA by STORM, and the Sacramento Kings might have just found their next franchise superstar! When the 19-year-old rookie point guard was asked if becoming the new face of Sacramento came with pressure, his answer was simple: NO! Acuff has been dealing with pressure his entire life, and now he's proving that the NBA's biggest stage doesn't faze him. After an incredible freshman season with the Arkansas Razorbacks under legendary coach John Calipari, averaging 23.5 points and 6.4 assists while winning SEC Player of the Year, SEC Freshman of the Year, SEC Tournament MVP, and the prestigious Bob Cousy Award, Darius Acuff Jr. entered the 2026 NBA Draft as one of college basketball's most electrifying prospects. The Sacramento Kings selected him 7th overall, and the six teams that passed on him might already be regretting it! Acuff immediately started making NBA history, dropping 33 points in his first home game at Golden 1 Center before exploding for 34 points and 14 assists against the New Orleans Pelicans, joining LeBron James, Luka Doncic, and Stephon Marbury as the only teenagers in NBA history to record a 30-point, 10-assist game! But he wasn't finished. Acuff followed that up with a career-high 38 POINTS and NINE three-pointers against the Memphis Grizzlies, showing off his ridiculous scoring ability, deep three-point shooting, handles, playmaking, and confidence. He even put up another 25 points against the Dallas Mavericks to help Sacramento secure its first win of the season! Already drawing attention in the 2026-27 NBA Rookie of the Year race, Acuff is emerging as one of the most exciting young point guards in basketball. With Sacramento Kings head coach Doug Christie, teammates Domantas Sabonis and Zach LaVine, and an entire fanbase watching his rise, Acuff is proving that age is just a number. From his dominant Arkansas basketball highlights and March Madness performances to his incredible NBA rookie highlights, clutch buckets, ankle-breaking crossovers, deep threes, and historic scoring performances, Darius Acuff Jr. is making a statement to the entire league. The Kings may have struggled to start the season, but their rookie sensation isn't backing down from anybody. The future of Sacramento Kings basketball might already be here.
