It explores how perfectionism can create anxiety, burnout, and a fragile sense of self-worth built on achievement rather than identity. Through compelling examples, Ethan Pattoo, a final year secondary school student, highlights the importance of allowing young people to make mistakes, embrace uncertainty, and discover who they truly are. Ethan Pattoo is a student at Westcoast International Secondary School in Mauritius.
