생선 한 끼 맛있게 먹었을 뿐인데, 주방에는 냄새가 오래 남았다. 결국 소매를 걷고 가스레인지부터 싱크대까지 대청소했다.

그 전에 뭉친 종아리부터 풀었다. 내 몸도 돌봐야 하고, 집도 돌봐야 하고. 잠깐 쉬려다가 또 할 일이 생기는, 누구나 아는 그런 하루였다.

그래도 다 닦고 나니 속까지 시원했다. 특별한 일은 없었지만, 이렇게 내 하루를 돌봤다.

All I did was cook a nice fish dinner, but the smell lingered long after the meal. Before I knew it, I was wiping down the stove, scrubbing the sink, and giving the kitchen a deep clean.

First, though, my tight calves needed a little attention. Taking care of my body, taking care of my home—one of those ordinary days when a little break turns into another chore.

Nothing fancy, just real life. And a clean kitchen felt like a good way to finish.
