《미래의 청취자들에게: 이동하는 소리》D-7
김영은은 소리와 청취를 통해 시각 중심주의 역사에서 소외된 서사를 사회·역사적 맥락에서 탐구해오고 있습니다. 청각 경험을 중심으로 ‘소리’와 실천의 형식으로서의 ‘청취’를 다룹니다. 최근 작업에서는 언어, 음악, 일상에서 발생하는 다양한 청각적 사건들을 매개로, 이주의 역사적 경험 속에서 형성된 고유한 청취 방식을 탐구해오고 있습니다. 이번 전시는 이러한 작가의 사유를 확장하는 작품으로 만나볼 수 있습니다.

"To Future Listeners: Migrating Sounds" D-7
YoungEun Kim’s practice explores narratives marginalized by the history of ocularcentrism through sound and listening, situating them within broader social and historical contexts. Centering aural experience, her work investigates both sound and listening as modes of artistic and critical practice. Her recent projects examine distinctive modes of listening shaped by histories of migration, using a wide range of aural events—from language and music to the sounds of everyday life—as the point of departure. The present exhibition further extends these ongoing inquiries.
