The Avengers (2012) brought its heroes together in a Battle of New York sequence that still makes you want to cheer. This flowing tracking shot moves through the Chitauri invasion, connecting the Avengers across the streets, rooftops, and skies of Manhattan.
Every handoff gives another hero a moment to shine. Iron Man races through the battle, Captain America fights on the ground, Hawkeye takes aim from above, and Thor and Hulk bring their strength to the fight aboard a Leviathan. The camera keeps moving, making their separate battles feel like parts of one coordinated effort.
After watching these characters in their individual movies, seeing them share the same battlefield made the team finally feel real. Their different abilities fit together, and the sequence keeps finding another reason to get excited.
