Hello, and welcome to Younghee’s country garden, where the warm spring breeze is blowing.
Today, I’d love to share the lively look of the garden, with fresh green sprouts popping up everywhere.
The onions, garlic, and wild chives that made it through the winter are growing well, and as we remove the fabric covering, we begin getting ready for spring in earnest. In the garden, the first flowers like adonis start to bloom, and pasque flowers, daffodils, and tulips are also sending up new shoots, getting ready to fill the garden with color.
We brushed off the dust that built up on the deck over the winter and washed away all the dirt.
We also started planting potatoes, which marks the beginning of this year’s farming season.
Then we harvested some shepherd’s purse and mugwort, and used them to make a delicious spring meal with seasoned spinach, soybean paste stew with shepherd’s purse, and spicy stir-fried webfoot octopus.
With the warmth of seasonal food, I hope you have a healthy and happy day today. 😊
