B. On October 15, 2007, the #ColoradoRockies swept the #Diamondbacks and won their first pennant and would move on to the World Series, though the magic would end with Series loss to the #RedSox. C. On October 17, 1964, a seminal day in #collegefootball. The No. 8 ranked Arkansas #Razorbacks upset top ranked Texas #Longhorns en route to an undefeated season and a share of the #NationalChampionship. Due to lack of uniformity, they would be forced to share the title with the Alabama #CrimsonTide. D. On October 12, 1952, the #Rams scored 24 unanswered points against the #Packers at home. The star of the game was fullback #DanTowler. Though Towler had a fairly short career, he was an exceptional #NFL player and an even more exceptional human. E1. Two posts about very well-known NFL players and quarterbacks. First, on October 18, 2009, #TomBrady set an NFL record with 5 TDs in a quarter as the #Partiots demolished the #Titans. Brady added one in the second half to give him 6 on the day. #NEPats

F. On October 14, 1992, one year after the dissolution of the #SovietUnion, the country of #Armenia played it's first international #soccer match -- a scoreless draw against #Moldova.
