Ninety-five years ago today, Japanese militarists launched their aggression against China, marking the beginning of the eastern theater of the World Anti-Fascist War, Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesperson Guo Jiakun noted at a regular press conference in Beijing on Friday. As historical denialism continues to emerge in Japan, the memory of the September 18 Incident remains a reminder of the need to face history, uphold the outcomes of World War II and safeguard peace, Guo stressed.
