Jenko Realizing Schmidt Dated the Captain’s Daughter 😭 | 22 Jump Street

The moment Jenko realizes Schmidt has been dating Captain Dickson’s daughter, keeping it quiet is no longer an option. 😭 This scene from 22 Jump Street (2014) gets me every time, especially the few seconds where you can see him putting everything together.

Schmidt looks like he wants to disappear. The captain is already furious. And Jenko is having what might be the best day of his entire career.

Channing Tatum’s reaction makes the reveal so much funnier. He takes a moment to catch up, then immediately becomes the last person Schmidt needs in that room. Meanwhile, Ice Cube barely has to move for you to understand how badly this conversation is going.

I always end up watching a different person on each replay. Jenko’s excitement, Schmidt’s panic, and the captain’s expression all deserve their own viewing.
