Our feet are precious! Before we go outside, what do we do? Put on our shoes!
Slip, slip, slip! One little foot goes in. Slide, slide, slide! Now the other foot goes in. Pull, pull, snug and tight! Tap, tap! Are our shoes ready? Yes, they are!
Outside is full of exciting things to see and do. Step, step, step! We can walk along the sidewalk. Stomp, stomp! We can explore the playground. Hop, hop, hop! We can jump and play with our friends.
But the ground can be rough, hot, cold, wet, or bumpy. Ouch! There might be tiny stones, sticks, or other things that can hurt our feet. That’s why we put on our shoes before going outside.
Where are my shoes? Here they are! Pick them up—swish! Slip one on—slip, slip! Then the other—slide, slide! All ready!
Our feet are precious, so let’s keep them comfy and protected. Going outside? Shoes on! Slip, slide, tap-tap! Now we’re ready to go!
