At what point are we gonna be at AI slop game capacity? Cause this is getting out of hand
Black Ops 2 inside Minecraft is a real thing that exists because of vibe coding and chatGPT, and it’s kind of a shame
This is something that would’ve been genuinely exciting once upon a time, but since the “developer” used GPT Astra as a means to make this would-be impressive mod that lets you run a low-poly version of the Hijacked Call of Duty map on an in-game monitor just kinda falls flat like Kyler troubleshooting an emulator with google’s AI results
And we’re seeing this way too often recently - emulation and recompilations of old games that would’ve previously taken years to accomplish now get fixed up in days, and the bastardization of retro titles is running rampant on the internet
And I’ll admit - I thought it was interesting at first - but the vast majority of AI coded projects like this are far from enjoyable experiences to play in their entirety, and they act more like a tech demo than anything - even just looking at footage of Minecraft CoD for more than a few seconds shows glaring issues like wonky animations and cutoff textures
