Everything you love is expensive, so we gotta make due with what we got
The Steam Machine flopped, sure, but with a little elbow grease you can actually get most of the way there with things you might already have on hand
We docked up a Steamdeck to this high resolution living room TV to run 4K PC games streamed with zero latency from a local gaming PC - and since it’s ALSO a handheld computer, we can run all sorts of emulations completely natively - and using the Steam CONTROLLER with it’s a total game changer for desktop mode
The streaming’s done through something called Moonlight - which is based on the old school Nvidia Shield software and provides hilariously low-latency remote control of local PCs that puts the playstation portal to shame - and we highly recommend giving it a try
