Jeya was an introvert when he graduated from the #NTUsg Wee Kim Wee School of Communication and Information, with no plans to run a spice shop.
Today he's known across Singapore as the Spice Man, the third-generation owner of Jeya Spices, where he mixes fresh spice blends on the spot.
After his posts and videos went viral in 2020, Jeya began using his online platform to introduce a new generation to the heritage of Singapore's wet markets and the art of spice mixing. He is a familiar face at the wet market and online, where he combines his expertise in spices with his engaging videos and posts – skills he picked up from his years in the trade and from his communications education at #NTUsg.
