Snake Bigger Than Titanoboa Just Found in India

A gigantic prehistoric snake discovered in India is challenging everything scientists thought they knew about the largest snakes that ever lived. Researchers named the ancient predator Vasuki indicus after uncovering 27 massive vertebrae in Gujarat, India, and their calculations suggest it may have stretched between 36 and 50 feet long. If the upper estimates are correct, this colossal reptile could rival—or even surpass—Titanoboa, the legendary giant snake long considered the undisputed heavyweight champion of the prehistoric world. The discovery has sparked intense debate because while Vasuki may have been longer, some of its vertebrae appear slightly smaller than Titanoboa's, leaving scientists searching for answers about which giant truly held the record. This video explores the incredible discovery of Vasuki indicus, how it compares to Titanoboa, and why this ancient monster is rewriting the story of the largest snakes to ever slither across Earth.
