This Signal from Space Is So Perfect It Might Be Artificial

Astronomers picked up two identical pulses of light coming from a star about 100 light-years away in the constellation Ursa Major. The pulses were perfectly timed, exactly 4.4 seconds apart, and the star flashed bright, then dim, then bright again in just a few seconds. A NASA scientist named Richard Stanton spent over 1,500 hours checking every possible explanation, comparing the data to lightning strikes, airplane reflections, meteors, and even software glitches. Nothing matched. He couldn't rule out the possibility that the signal might be artificial. And this isn't the first time something like this has happened. In 2019, astronomers detected a similar double pulse from another star about fifty light-years away. Now, scientists are trying to figure out what could cause such a perfect, repeating signal. Watch this video to uncover the mystery of the signal from space that might not be natural.
