In our newly launched series, PKU Open Question, Prof. Chen Baoquan, associate dean of the PKU School of Intelligence Science and Technology, walks you through the "Bullet Time" technology deployed at the 2022 Beijing Winter Olympic Games.
Forty cameras and massive computation not only captured but also reconstructed precious moments on the field. And all of it has to be done in under 30 seconds so it can be broadcast live to the world.
