Raymond Cruz Was Perfect For The Role

Raymond Cruz revealed the wild behind-the-scenes chaos while playing the unhinged kingpin Tuco Salamanca on Breaking Bad. When asked if putting a cigarette out on his tongue was in the script, the actor confessed he was simply bored on set and started improvising unscripted craziness. Beyond eating a lit cigarette, Cruz stuck one up his nose, blew smoke directly into co-star Aaron Paul's face, and flicked it so it exploded right off Paul's forehead. Creator Vince Gilligan loved the insane moment but couldn't use it. On another take, Cruz even picked up a live beetle intending to eat it until Gilligan quickly yelled cut. Seeing Raymond Cruz casually try to eat a live beetle on set because he was bored is pure gold. #raymondcruz #breakingbad #tucosalamanca #aaronpaul #behindthescenes #funny #viral #funnymoments #shorts #comedy #interview #latenight #celebritystories
