When Willem Dafoe Pranked Alfred Molina on the Spider-man 2 Set 🕷️😂

Willem Dafoe had already completed his role as the villainous Norman Osborn in the original Spider-Man film, but his connection to the franchise proved stronger than a single appearance. When production on Spider-Man 2 was underway, Dafoe made an unannounced visit to the set, capitalizing on the fact that Alfred Molina — who was deep in the demanding process of portraying Doctor Octopus — had no idea the prank was coming. Dafoe reportedly appeared in full Green Goblin costume, ambushing his unsuspecting colleague at a moment calculated for maximum comedic effect, a move that spoke to the easy camaraderie that had developed among the cast of the franchise. Molina, encumbered by the elaborate mechanical tentacle rigging that made his performance so physically taxing, was left in a state of genuine shock before the joke registered. The incident became one of the more fondly remembered behind-the-scenes moments from Sam Raimi's celebrated trilogy, a reminder that even within the high-pressure environment of a major studio production, the actors found room for irreverence and genuine human connection.
