What NASA Found Under Greenland Could Become a Future Problem

NASA scientists scanning Greenland's ice made an unexpected discovery buried deep below the surface - a forgotten Cold War base known as Camp Century, once part of a secret military project hidden beneath the ice. The abandoned underground city contains tunnels, infrastructure, and waste left behind decades ago, and researchers are now concerned that melting ice could eventually expose material that was never meant to see daylight again. Advanced radar imaging revealed the site in unprecedented detail, giving scientists their clearest view yet of what has been hidden beneath Greenland for generations. This video explores NASA's shocking discovery, the alarming questions it raises about the future of Greenland's ice sheet, and why a Cold War secret is suddenly back in the spotlight. Sometimes the most unsettling discoveries are not what we find beneath the ice—but what the ice may no longer be able to keep buried.
