World’s first consumer robotics store in Shanghai, bringing AI from concept to retail

In a major milestone for consumer embodied AI, local Shanghai robotics startup PrimeBOT opened its first-ever flagship retail space on Huaihai Road. Spanning over 350 square meters inside the PRSCO mall, the cyberpunk-themed experience center—dubbed a "4S store for personal robots"—features the brand's flagship Q1 and T1 models. The location offers extensive customization options, including an active 3D printing station, a dedicated DIY assembly area with custom chassis and helmets priced under 10,000 RMB, and interactive spaces for children to engage in coding and language practice.

Backed by property operator Huaihai Group and automotive retail giant Yongda Group, the storefront bridges high-tech hardware with everyday commercial and domestic scenarios. Since launching its trial operations during the Mid-Autumn Festival holiday, the store has generated heavy foot traffic and boosted retail momentum across the traditional business district. Industry observers view the move as consumer robotics shifting from lab demonstrations to tangible retail products, marking a potential "iPhone moment" for China's embodied AI industry.
