시골 집순이 여름나기 👩🏻‍🌾 블루베리 따서 브런치 만들고, 화이트 와인 한 잔

시골집에서 특별한 계획 없이, 좋아하는 것들을 만들어 먹으며 느긋하게 보낸 여름날의 일상을 담았어요 🌿

아침에는 텃밭을 둘러보고 잘 익은 블루베리를 수확했습니다.
블루베리는 짙은 보랏빛으로 잘 익고 꼭지 부분의 오링이 선명한 열매를 하나하나 골라 수확했어요.
제가 키우고 있는 블루베리 품종은 벤츄라와 매도우락이에요 🫐

아침에 딴 블루베리와 텃밭 루꼴라, 직접 만든 리코타 치즈로 간단한 샐러드를 만들고 해시브라운과 오믈렛, 소시지, 베이컨, 토스트까지 준비해 느긋하게 호텔 조식 같은 브런치를 즐겼어요.
직접 만든 그릭 요거트와 그래놀라도 빠질 수 없고요 :)

다음 날에는 시원한 화이트 와인이 생각나서 텃밭에서 수확한 오이와 딜로 차지키 소스를 만들었어요.
차지키에 구운 감자와 새우, 큼직한 크루통을 곁들이고 텃밭 고추와 직접 키운 팬지까지 올려 여름에 잘 어울리는 산뜻한 애피타이저를 만들었습니다.

메인은 텃밭에서 남은 루꼴라로 직접 만든 루꼴라 페스토를 듬뿍 올린 잠봉 크림 파스타 🍝
고소한 크림과 짭조름한 잠봉, 쌉싸름하면서 은은하게 달콤한 루꼴라 페스토의 조합이 정말 맛있었어요.

그리고 여름에 특히 좋아하는 청량한 뉴질랜드 말보로 소비뇽 블랑 한 잔 🥂
상큼한 차지키 새우와도, 진하고 고소한 잠봉 크림 파스타와도 기분 좋게 어울렸어요.

바쁘게 뭔가를 하지 않아도 맛있는 것을 만들고 천천히 먹으며 보내는 일상
이런 게 제가 좋아하는 시골의 여름인 것 같아요.

I spent a slow summer day at my country home with no particular plans, simply making and enjoying some of my favorite things 🌿

I started the morning by checking on my garden and harvesting some ripe blueberries.
I carefully picked the ones that had turned a deep purple with a clearly defined ring around the stem.
The blueberry varieties I’m growing are Ventura and Meadowlark 🫐

With the blueberries I picked that morning, arugula from my garden, and homemade ricotta, I made a simple salad. I also prepared hash browns, an omelet, sausages, bacon, and toast for a leisurely, hotel-style brunch.
And of course, there was homemade Greek yogurt and granola too :)

The next day, I was craving a chilled glass of white wine, so I made tzatziki with cucumbers and dill from my garden.
I paired it with roasted potatoes, shrimp, chunky croutons, peppers from the garden, and pansies I grew myself for a fresh summer appetizer.

For the main dish, I made creamy jambon pasta topped with plenty of homemade arugula pesto using the arugula left from my garden 🍝
The rich cream, salty jambon, and slightly bitter yet subtly sweet arugula pesto came together beautifully.

And to go with it all, a crisp New Zealand Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc, one of my favorite wines for summer 🥂
It paired beautifully with both the tangy tzatziki shrimp and the rich, creamy jambon pasta.

No need to be busy or have special plans—just making something delicious and taking my time to enjoy it.
I think this is the kind of summer in the countryside that I love most.
