9th CIIE technical equipment zone highlights first-time exhibitors and local innovation

The 9th China International Import Expo (CIIE) is drawing more than 2,000 “new face” companies making their debut, along with nearly 200 “all-attendee” companies that are again increasing their commitment.
The technical equipment exhibition area, which gathers high-end equipment and cutting-edge technology, remains a focus.
A 6G terminal prototype is being shown publicly as a physical object for the first time outside the laboratory.
It is a key test carrier for linking 6G technology and verifying whether equipment can connect with each other, and is a representative exhibit of this year’s CIIE.
In the industrial automation zone, Omron’s NF-series compact controller is the first product independently developed by a local Chinese team.
It is precisely matched to 3C, lithium battery and semiconductor production lines, as well as compact space, flexible production and rapid iteration requirements.
The Lingang exhibition area, appearing at the CIIE for the fourth time, is basically set up.
It gathers more than 100 overseas enterprises from over 20 countries and regions and more than 150 featured exhibits.
The technical equipment exhibition area has five sub-zones, an exhibition area of more than 60,000 square meters and nearly 400 exhibitors.
The 9th CIIE runs from Nov. 5 to 10, 2026 in Shanghai.
