U.S. election results would not affect "robust" S. Korea-U.S. alliance: Blue House

靑 "한미동맹, 초당적 지지로 굳건한 관계… 특정 선거결과 영향 없을 것"

The Blue House says the result of the U.S. midterm elections will not affect South Korea's alliance with the U.S., stressing the "robust relationship."
When asked at a briefing on Thursday, senior spokesperson Kang Yu-jung said the alliance has been strong for over seven decades on the back of bipartisan support in the U.S.
Kang added that Seoul will continue to pursue strategic investment with Washington according to earlier agreements, and each project will be reviewed under the principles of national interests and commercial viability.
She noted that the government will continue to closely cooperate with both the U.S. administration and parliament.
