Shanghai hosts world's first humanoid robot clash showcasing tech advances in embodied AI

A high-tech "steel showdown" took place at Baoshan Gymnasium, featuring T800 humanoid robots "White Eagle" and "Golden Flash" in an intense martial arts match inside an octagonal cage. Unlike remote-controlled units, these robots executed strikes and rapid tactical adjustments completely autonomously. Powered by a closed-loop AI system connecting perception to action execution, the T800s entered the cage independently, recognized opponent poses in real time, and predicted movement trajectories despite a noisy crowd environment. The event marks a major transition for humanoid robot athletics into commercial operations.
