A brave 2-year-old girl became her father's little hero after recognizing a medical emergency and rushing to help him! 🥹❤️
An incredible moment was captured on home CCTV in Berkshire, England, when 2-year-old Zab Demegillo noticed something was wrong with her father, 31-year-old Ymmanuel, who has diabetes.
Zab had been trying to wake her dad, repeatedly calling out "Daddy" and hugging his head when he wasn't responding normally.
After continuing to check on him, Ymmanuel managed to tell his daughter, "I'm hypo," a phrase the family had taught her to recognize whenever his blood sugar dropped dangerously low.
With her mother already at work, the quick-thinking toddler climbed down from the bed and made her way into the living room.
She searched through a side table until she found her father's glucose tablets. Zab carefully opened the container, took out a tablet, and returned to her dad.
The little girl then helped her father take the glucose tablet, making sure he chewed and swallowed it.
While waiting for him to recover, Zab sweetly repeated something her parents had taught her: "When Daddy is hypo, give chocolates and sweets."
Ymmanuel later explained that he and his wife had regularly taught Zab about his diabetes, showing her where his glucose tablets were kept and explaining what to do during an emergency.
Although they never expected their daughter to handle such a frightening situation at such a young age, they were incredibly grateful that she remembered what to do.
