To safely assemble the cylinder head without losing fingers, professional mechanics rely on physics and specialized leverage tools! In this mesmerizing video, the mechanic drops the heavy dual springs, the steel retainer, and the tiny wedge keepers onto the bare valve stem. Then, they place a red two-pronged compressor lever tool directly over the metal retainer. This allows them to effortlessly push down and crush the heavy double springs, exposing the grooved metal valve stem! While the spring is safely compressed, they manually guide two microscopic metal wedge keepers perfectly into the groove, permanently locking the entire high-pressure assembly together before safely releasing the tool!
