Do-Re-Mi | Avicenna Orchestra | TEDxAvicenna Cinere School

For TEDx Avicenna Cinere School, themed “UNSEEN,” AVChestra presents one of the most iconic songs from the musical film The Sound of Music, “Do-Re-Mi."

Rather than simply reproducing the original arrangement, this performance reflects the spirit of exploration that AVChestra seeks to nurture. Through the process of studying, adapting and developing the arrangement, students experience how a familiar piece of music can be transformed into something new through their collective effort and musical understanding. Avicenna Orchestra, officially abbreviated as AVChestra is a student orchestra and a creative space for musical exploration and artistic development at SMP Avicenna Cinere. Established in 2024, AVChestra empowers students not only to perform music, but also to learn, experiment, collaborate, and take an active role in the creative process behind each musical performance. Through this experience, students are encouraged to be proactive, joyful and confident in exploring their musical potential.

AVChestra was created with the vision of bringing an orchestra into the Avicenna community while opening new opportunities for students to discover and develop their musical potential. Since its formation, AVChestra has encouraged students to become more proactive and independent in learning music, including exploring musical arrangements, understanding different instruments and discovering how individual parts can come together to create a complete musical piece.
