세계의 도시와 음악이 만나는 프로젝트 앨범 ‘여행이 부르는 노래’의 세 번째 트랙, Music Sets You Free를 공개합니다.
유난히도 흐리던 5월의 대낮, 좁은 노량진 원룸을 벗어나 무작정 명동 거리로 걸었습니다. 그곳에는 쏟아지는 비와 수많은 검은 우산들이 가득했습니다.
앞길이 보이지 않던 시절, 어두웠던 마음은 문득 영국의 비 내리는 도시 맨체스터와 밴드 오아시스(Oasis)의 멜로디로 이어졌습니다.
그리고 일기장 구석에 '1년 뒤 반드시 맨체스터에 가서 오아시스 노래를 들어야겠다'는 다짐을 적어 내려갔습니다.
그리고 정확히 1년 뒤 저는 헤드폰을 낀 채 맨체스터의 빗속 트램과 거리를 걸었습니다.
지금 무거운 현실의 먹구름 아래 서 있는 모든 분들에게 '음악 속에 머무는 지금 오늘 만큼은 자유로워도 괜찮다'는 위로의 메시지를 전합니다.
