From the Wushu Carpet to What's Next

From training together for a decade, to representing Singapore and NUS in Wushu, to graduating today, Kimberly (Law) and Yin Shuen (Computing) have shared parallel journeys every step of the way.

For years, they balanced the demands of competitive sport with rigorous academics. They represented Singapore at the Southeast Asia Games and Asian Games, brought home for home multiple medals for NUS and Singapore at the ASEAN University Games and somehow still found time to prepare for exams, projects and competitions all at once.

Now, they're both closing a chapter in their competitive Wushu careers- but their journey with the sport is far from over.

Kimberly, who made history by winning Singapore's first Asian Games Wushu medal in 2023 , is now coaching the next generation of athletes while preparing for the Bar later this year. Yin Shuen, who clinched a bronze medal at the 2025 SEA Games, is also giving back as a youth coach while building her career in business analytics.

From national athletes to #NUS2026 graduates, and now mentors inspiring the next generation, we couldn't be prouder of all they've achieved ! 💙🧡
