Beyond Falsehoods - A new report from NUS Centre for Trusted Internet and Community

Platforms or people — who is ultimately responsible for keeping the internet safe from online falsehoods? 🌐🛡️In a new report, Prof Simon Chesterman (NUS Law and NUS College) and colleagues at the NUS Centre for Trusted Internet and Community mapped over 400 legal and policy measures worldwide to analyse how regulation against internet harms has evolved.

While individual responsibility matters just as much as ever, regulatory frameworks are shifting towards looking at how information systems are structured, and how regulations on how information is amplified and disseminated can help make the internet a safer place for everyone.
