Is Love Still Beautiful?

Spring once symbolized love, warmth, youth, and beauty.

But now, even spring itself feels different.
Seasons that once seemed permanent are slowly changing, fading, or disappearing altogether.
And yet, we still remember spring as something beautiful.
We still imagine love through warm colors, flowers, soft memories, and familiar emotions.

Once a feeling becomes deeply learned through memory and culture, it does not disappear easily.

Even when reality changes, our emotions often continue to remember older meanings.

Perhaps that is why we still search for beauty in love.
Even as the world around us changes faster than our emotions can fully follow.

Today, many things that once felt untouchable are being redefined.

Love is no longer always seen as necessity, destiny, or permanence.
For many people, it has become exhausting, replaceable, or secondary to survival, speed, and efficiency.

The same may also be true for art.

Classical painting once carried authority through technical mastery, permanence, and tradition.
Old literature once shaped ideals of romance, longing, and emotional devotion.

But contemporary life now moves through screens, algorithms, consumption, short attention spans, and endless image production.

What once felt eternal now exists beside plastic waste, digital noise, fragmented emotions, and rapidly changing perceptions.

This work does not reject the past.
Rather, it quietly stands between two different recognitions of beauty:

what we once believed was beautiful,
and what beauty is becoming now.

Perhaps love still exists.

But the way we recognize it has already changed.

하지만 현대의 삶은 이제
스크린과 알고리즘, 소비와 짧아진 집중력, 끝없이 생산되는 이미지들 속에서 움직이고 있다.

영원할 것 같았던 것들은 이제
플라스틱 폐기물과 디지털 노이즈, 파편화된 감정, 빠르게 변하는 인식들과 함께 존재한다.

이 작업은 과거를 부정하려는 것이 아니다.
다만 한때 우리가 아름답다고 믿었던 것과,
지금 아름다움이 되어가고 있는 것 사이에 조용히 서 있을 뿐이다.

아마도 사랑은 여전히 존재할지 모른다.

하지만 우리가 그것을 인식하는 방식은 이미 변해버렸다.
