Brave Men Free A Trapped Mountain Lion

Two brave men come face-to-face with a powerful mountain lion while attempting to free it from a trap in the mountains of southern Utah! 😱🐆

An intense wildlife rescue unfolded in the Pine Valley Mountains when a large cougar was discovered caught in a trap intended for a bobcat.

After receiving a call for assistance, Utah Division of Wildlife Resources employee Mark Ekins responded to help the trapper safely release the mountain lion.

Footage captured by Ekins shows the two men carefully working together to free the powerful wild animal while keeping themselves out of harm's way.

Using several catch poles, the rescuers carefully secured the cougar around its head and back foot, positioning the animal so they could safely access the trapped front foot.

The tense rescue required patience and coordination as the men worked near the mountain lion's powerful claws and jaws.

After carefully positioning the cougar, they managed to release its front foot from the trap, allowing the animal to regain its freedom.

The remarkable encounter highlights the challenges wildlife professionals face when handling powerful predators and the importance of taking precautions to protect both rescuers and animals.

An incredible moment of courage, teamwork, and compassion for a wild animal in need! ❤️
