That Time Al Pacino Didn’t Know How To Do Anything

Al Pacino shared a hilarious story about shooting the iconic Sicilian wedding scene in The Godfather with director Francis Ford Coppola. Coppola gave him a simple set of instructions: pass around candies, speak Italian to the guests, waltz with his new screen bride, and drive off in the car. Pacino immediately admitted he didn’t speak Italian, but Coppola brushed it off, telling him the camera was too far away for anyone to hear. When Pacino then confessed he didn’t know how to waltz, a baffled Coppola told him to just move around with the girl and get in the car. That was when Pacino dropped the ultimate bombshell by revealing he couldn't even drive. Seeing Al Pacino hit Francis Ford Coppola with three consecutive dealbreakers right before filming a major scene is pure gold. #alpacino #thegodfather #francisfordcoppola #michaelcorleone #behindthescenes #funny #viral #funnymoments #shorts #comedy #interview #latenight #celebritystories
