Putting Peter Parkerโ€™s hug with MJ right before his โ€œI donโ€™t wanna goโ€ scene was an unfair thing to do to my feelings. One second heโ€™s holding someone he loves, and the next heโ€™s holding onto Tony Stark because heโ€™s terrified. ๐Ÿ’”

This Spider-Man edit brings together Spider-Man: No Way Home (2021) and Avengers: Infinity War (2018), making two already emotional moments hurt all over again. The change from that hug to Peter pleading with Tony happens so quickly that you barely have time to prepare.

Tom Holland makes Peter feel so young in that Infinity War scene. His voice, the panic, and the way he reaches for Tony make it painfully easy to forget the superhero suit and see the frightened kid wearing it.

I know both scenes. I know what happens next. Somehow, watching them together still catches me off guard. Peter Parker edits really need to give us a little warning.
