Shanghai is betting big on Huawei's HarmonyOS.
At a recruitment fair this weekend, 130 companies — more than 50 of them HarmonyOS ecosystem players — offered over 2,000 jobs, from HarmonyOS and AI development to embedded software.
In the second quarter of 2026, HarmonyOS accounted for about 5% of global smartphone shipments, ranking third behind Android (75%) and iOS (20%).
