One day has 24 hours.
One year has 24 Solar Terms.
And through these changing moments, generations have passed down stories, rituals and memories.
24CyDance turns the 24 Solar Terms into a stage journey through the world of the Miao people in western Hunan.
From the first signs of spring to the harvest season, from ancient songs and drumbeats to intricate embroidery and silverwork, the performance reveals how nature and human life are woven together in Miao culture.
Presented at Peking University as part of Re-encounter with Chinese Glories, 24CyDance invites us to see time not simply as something that passes, but as something that carries culture from one generation to the next.
