The water level at Lake Daecheong had remained static for over a month, leaving remnants of algae along the shoreline. However, small baitfish were schooling heavily near flooded terrestrial vegetation—a clear indicator of potential action.
By paying close attention to the very first bite, we quickly deciphered the day's pattern: Targeting flooded brush and vegetation using the Keyman Lure Skeleton Swimmer paired with the Skeleton Blade Hook.
Instead of a fast retrieve, the key was a slow retrieve followed by a natural drop right past the submerged wood, which immediately triggered explosive strikes. From a 51cm (20-inch) topwater monster to aggressive surface buzzing action, the hard-fighting dam bass put up an incredible battle!
