Upon the recommendation of my teachers, I was selected as the student representative to deliver the poetry recitation for Founder’s Day.
As a stage dedicated to celebrating the school's 'beginning,' I felt both nervous and excited to convey the profound message of Yoon Dong-ju's 'Foreword.‘

Living through the dark 'night' of the Japanese colonial period, poet Yoon Dong-ju chose to embrace hope rather than despair, vowing to walk his 'given path.'

Here, the 'given path' does not merely signify personal success. Just like his pledge to love all things that are dying, it represents a steadfast determination and responsibility to care for the marginalized and contribute to society.

Going beyond simply acquiring knowledge and becoming leaders who take responsibility for our times and society is the true reason we learn and grow at this school. Standing before fellow students who will grow into future leaders, it was deeply meaningful to deliver a message through my own voice. I wanted to share that the ultimate purpose of our academic pursuit is not personal advancement, but to make the world a better place.

I must love all things that are dying.
And I must walk the path
That has been given to me.
