세실 켐페링크는 미술, 무용, 섬유예술, 패션에 이르는 다층적인 예술적 배경을 하나의 연결된 감각으로 작품에 구현한다. 작가는 리듬, 형태, 소리, 움직임, 에너지를 유기적으로 다루며 공간과 신체의 관계를 탐구한다.
작품 전반에 반복되는 원형은 통합과 무한, 힘과 조화를 상징하며, 연결고리가 더해질수록 그 의미는 더욱 강화된다. 관람객 참여형 작품은 이러한 원이 지닌 중요성과 관계성을 드러낸다. 바람, 조수, 호흡 등 자연의 반복적 움직임에서 영감을 받아 제작된 점토 작품들은 서로 기대고, 이끌며, 지지하는 관계망 속에서 작동한다. 관람객은 조각의 촉감, 원들의 유기적 움직임, 그로 인한 형태 변화와 소리에 귀 기울이며 작품을 감각할 수 있다.
Cecil Kemperink draws on a multidisciplinary artistic background spanning fine art, dance, textile art, and fashion, translating these practices into a unified sensory language in her artwork. She engages organically with rhythm, form, sound, movement, and energy, exploring the relationship between space and the body. The circular forms that recur throughout her works symbolize unity and infinity, as well as strength and harmony, deepening in meaning with every link added. Her participatory works reveal the significance of these circles and the relationships they embody.
Inspired by the repetitive movements of Nature, such as wind, tides, and breath, the clay pieces operate within a network of relations, leaning on, guiding, and supporting one another. Viewers are invited to explore the artwork through multiple senses, attending to the tactile qualities of the sculptures, the organic movement of the circles, and the shifts in form and sound that this movement produces.
