Jermall Charlo (USA) vs. Thomas LaManna (USA) | 4K - FULL HIGHLIGHTS #boxing #sports #combat

🥊 FIGHT DESCRIPTION:

Making his long-awaited return to the ring after nearly two years of inactivity, former two-division world champion Jermall Charlo delivered a brutal statement of intent, demolishing Thomas LaManna and sending a clear warning to anyone standing in his way—including bitter rival Caleb Plant. Fighting at Michelob ULTRA Arena in Las Vegas, Charlo unleashed a devastating assault, scoring knockdowns in three consecutive rounds before the ringside doctor stepped in and ordered the fight stopped ahead of the sixth round.

Charlo (34-0, 23 KOs) had endured years of frustrating inactivity, with injuries and personal struggles keeping him away from competition for extended periods. But the 35-year-old appeared determined to put those difficult chapters behind him, showing no signs of hesitation as he took command from the opening bell. Following the victory, Charlo made it clear that he believes his toughest days are behind him before turning his attention directly to Caleb Plant. The callout reignited memories of their explosive backstage confrontation during the 2023 Crawford-Spence weigh-in, adding even more fuel to an already heated rivalry.

Despite the lengthy layoff, Charlo looked sharp, powerful, and completely in control. He systematically dismantled LaManna (39-6-1, 18 KOs), connecting with heavy shots and outlanding the challenger by a commanding margin in both total punches and power punches. The first major breakthrough came in the third round when Charlo unleashed a perfectly timed right hand that sent LaManna crashing to the canvas. The punch also opened a nasty cut beneath the challenger's left eye, leaving visible damage as Charlo continued applying pressure.

The punishment only intensified in the fourth. Charlo uncorked a pair of vicious left hooks that sent LaManna down again, with the knockdown officially confirmed following a replay review. By then, the former champion had established complete control, repeatedly finding his target with damaging combinations while LaManna struggled to withstand the incoming fire.

The finish arrived in the fifth round when Charlo detonated another crushing right hand, dropping LaManna for the third consecutive round. The challenger had absorbed far too much punishment, and after assessing the damage, the ringside doctor determined that he could no longer safely continue. The fight was stopped before the sixth round, handing Charlo a dominant stoppage victory and a powerful return-to-action statement.

After nearly two years away, Charlo didn't simply return to collect a win—he returned with a message. Three knockdowns, five rounds of punishment, and a direct challenge to Caleb Plant made it clear that the former champion has unfinished business and is eager to settle their long-standing feud inside the ring.
