Seoripul Music Festival turns street into cultural playground

Seoul's Seocho-gu District hosts the Seoripul Music Festival every year, bringing together music, art and books in one place.
Arirang TV also joined the festival, taking part in efforts to engage with and contribute to the local community.

Over the weekend, one of Seocho-gu District's busiest boulevards, Banpo-daero, was packed with crowds walking, drawing, and enjoying all kinds of music.
"There's something for everyone, from K-pop and jazz to classical music. Families of all ages, from young children to seniors, can come together and enjoy the festival."

This is the Seoripul Music Festival, an annual event held every September.
Since its launch in 2015, it has attracted more than 1.3 million visitors through 2025.


"Here at the Seoripul Music Festival, a once-busy road has been transformed into a cultural space where citizens can enjoy music and art together. Arirang TV is joining this event to share how local communities are creating new opportunities through culture."

At the Arirang TV booth, children took to the stage to show their dance moves.
Nearby, a charity bazaar was also underway.
Visitors could also take part in a prize draw and win small gifts at the Yangjae-Naegok Education Support Center.
These activities are part of Arirang TV's efforts to contribute to the local community.

One of the highlights was an orchestra performance by students from Shinjoong Elementary School.
Dressed in black concert attire, the students performed a series of pieces for about half an hour.

"I hope this festival gives our students a chance to show the qualities they need to become global leaders, while also moving the audience through their music."


Drawing at least 100-thousand visitors over the weekend, the Seoripul Music Festival once again cemented its status as one of Seocho-gu District's signature cultural events.
