U.S. President Donald Trump has said he's considering his options on Iran, laying out three scenarios for the regime.
This comes ahead of his potential talks with the Iranian leadership at the UN General Assembly.

U.S. President Donald Trump says he is weighing his next move on Iran, as Tehran warns any renewed American attack would trigger retaliation across the region.
In a telephone interview recounted by a Fox News reporter on Sunday, Trump said Washington had three choices: reach a deal, cause the Iranian economy to "rot," or obliterate the country.
He suggested he could blow the whole nation up, saying they'd better behave, and that "very big things" would take place in the war.
At the same time, he left the door open to diplomacy.
With Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian expected in New York for the United Nations General Assembly, Trump said he would be willing to meet him.
Iran’s military, however, said it had obtained information indicating that Washington was preparing to resume military action, without disclosing evidence or further details.
Iran’s military central command warned that another attack would bring prolonged retaliation against U.S. bases and interests.
It also cautioned countries in the region against supporting Washington, saying American allies that took part would be treated as parties to the conflict.
The exchange follows renewed instability across the region over the weekend.
Yemen’s Iran-aligned Houthis launched missile and drone attacks towards the Saudi capital, Riyadh, on Saturday, according to the Saudi-led coalition.
The U.S. State Department subsequently warned Americans of possible airspace closures and flight cancellations caused by an unforeseen escalation.
The conflict began with U.S. and Israeli strikes against Iran on February 28th and is now entering its seventh month.
A temporary ceasefire reached in June collapsed the following month amid disputes over its terms.
Iran continues to restrict most shipping through the Strait of Hormuz, while a U.S. blockade of Iranian ports has sharply constrained Tehran’s oil exports.
